What’s Your Public Bathroom Etiquette?
Ryan took a bathroom break during the show today and he ran into one one of our co-workers who just won’t shut up, even when you’re in the bathroom stall. Nicole has had the same experience with another co-worker multiple times where she tried to end the conversation but the woman continued on, even as Nicole stepped into a stall.
Needless to say she was (wait for it) pissed. She’s in the stall doing her business, and this person continues to talk to you through a door! Rich remembers a story of when someone he worked with thought Brad Pitt was talking to him. The guy walked into the bathroom and Brad Pitt was standing there. He didn’t know what to say so he just did what he went into the bathroom to do and walked into a stall.
A few seconds later, he heard Brad Pitt get into a stall and start talking. He was asking questions and Rich’s friend thought Brad Pitt was talking to him so he started responding. After a little bit of this, the guy hears Brad Pitt say “hold on, some guy in the stall next to me thinks I’m talking to him.” OMG. Hilarious. Needless to say, it was pretty embarrassing embarrassing.
Nicole thinks that’s a perfect example of why you shouldn’t hold a conversation in the bathroom. One, it’s annoying, and, two, it can get confusing as who is talking to who. hey guys, gotta say i love the show.. personally, i try not to even talk.. u nomaly get the odd nod, but conversation, while ur trying to take a leak is well awkward, specially when u don’t know the person. keep it simple.. no talking unless u have to, make the world better for us all
Wow you guys are easily offended. Maybe try and climb out of your introvert shells once in a while (which is odd, because radio commentaries aren’t usually introverts.)
Sometimes a friend and I will go into the bathroom, and we’ll be talking, and even as one of us goes into a stall we keep talking. It sometimes is a little awkward, hearing someone pee as you talk to them, but it’s not that big of a deal. I think it’s weirder for guys to talk while peeing, because they’re like out there, not in a stall or anything, and it just doesn’t seem right.
Being in the military, we have to conduct uranalysis on a regular basis. It is most awkward when someone is watching you pee, to verify that is your pee, let alone when they talk to you! But it is really have to relax enough to go when someone is staring at your crotch! Good times!
If you go in with a friend its ok but really aren’t we all there to get the jpob done?
