What The Heck Is Going On? – Regional Differences You’ve Seen In Your Travels
This past weekend Rich was down in Texas getting things ready for his upcoming wedding. And for the first time, he went into a cowboy bar where everyone there was in cowboy hats and doing the two-step. For a minute, Rich thought he was getting punked and kept looking for cameras.
But once he realized he wasn’t being punked and that it was really happening, Rich decided why not try it out himself. It was such a cool thing to experience because it was so different than anything else he had ever done or seen. He can’t wait for the rest of The Morning Mash Up to get down to Texas for his wedding so that he can take them to a country bar and they can try and two-step.
What was the biggest regional difference you’ve experienced in your travels? Maybe it was coming to the Jersey Shore and realizing that guidos actually exist

Women Who Put Their Men In The Line Of Fire
The other night Nicole and her boyfriend, Matt, were heading to her mom’s in Connecticut for dinner. Nicole got on the train first and was walking a little ahead of her boyfriend when she heard a guy call out to her. She turned her head to see who it was and there was just guy sitting down who asked for her name. Nicole politely, and awkwardly, smiled but didn’t say anything.
This guy continued to holler at her, asking her for her name. Nicole finally snapped, pointed at Matt, and said “that’s my boyfrien right there. Why don’t you ask him my name?!” Her boyfriend, unlucky for him, was not in earshot of this. When Nicole finally caught up to him he said, “don’t look now, but that guy is really giving you a nasty look.”
She broke the news that she put him in the line of fire, without telling him. Rich and Stan were not happy with her. Why would you throw your man under the bus and put him in a situation where he might have to get into an altercation with someone? While we fully understand that some women can take care of themselves, but in many cases it’s the man defending the honor.
Has there ever been a case where, because of your partner, you had to get into a fight or argument? Ladies, have you ever gotten your man into some trouble that was unwarrented?

Scars – Totally Bad Ass Or Completely Ugly?
Stanley was watching Scarface with his wife and she kept going on about how the scar on Tony Orlando’s, aka Al Pacino’s, face was so sexy and bad ass looking. Stan totally disagreed with her. He thinks most people are kind of turned off by scars. And the people seem like more often than not, they want to cover them up or get rid of them.
Rich has a scar on his forehead that he hates. He’s seriously considered plastic surgery to get rid of it. Nicole feels the same way about the scars on her legs. She hates them and even tries to cover them up with make up when she wears skirts or dresses.
Ryan has a scar on his stomach from getting his pancreas out and although the scar is pretty bad looking, he likes to make up a cool story to account for the scar so people are intrigued by it.
How do you feel about scars? Do you have scars and do you hate them or love them? When you see someone else with a scar, do you think it looks bad ass or ugly?

What Games Do You Play On Roadtrips?
Woo hoo for a three day weekend! It’s the last weekend of the summer, the last chance to take that mini roadtrip. A lot of people are taking the opportunity to head to the beach for one more weekend (hopefully there will be no hurricanes ruining your trip). Now, as much as we love our family, as much as you may love your kids, being in a small, confined space – like a car – with them for hours on end can drive you crazy and make you extremely bored.
In comes the car games. We’ve all played them. They keep us entertained and sane on roadtrips. Nicole plays “Ghost”, “In My Grandmothers Basket”, and the celebrity name game. What games do you play on roadtrips?

What Words or Phrases Do You Use All The Time?
Nicole has been getting a little annoyed at Rich lately. He is on a “dope” kick. He is using that word every single chance he gets and Nicole has had enough. She wants him to retire it. Let it go, put it in the past, and never speak it again. It’s getting kind of annoying having to hear it all the time.
It’s like when she would “love you mean it” thirty million times a day. After a while, the guys wanted to smack every time she said it. Even Alex D, The Morning Mash Up’s associate producer overuses words. She says the word fantabulous to describe anything that’s good.
Ryan thinks it kind of makes the person that they have their own little catchphrase or word that they use. Although he admits he uses “awesome” way too much. Stan’s most overused phrase is “picture that” which he says to let you know he’s NOT going to do something. Do you know someone that overuses a word or phrase so much you just wish they would retire it?

Do You Have Different Roles In Different Groups Of Friends Or Are You Pretty Much The Same Person No Matter Who You’re With?
Rich and Ryan got into a little bit of a deep discussion yesterday about the different roles people take on depending on what group of friends they’re with.
For example, with The Morning Mash Up, Ryan is kind of the quiet one. But Rich has seen him with his friends from back home and Ryan is the crazy, loud, life of the party one. Compared to some of his college friends, he’s also the dummy of the group (which we know is the opposite of how it is on The Mash Up
).
Nicole says she’s the same person no matter which group of friends she’s with. Rich & Stan are the same way. They’re pretty much the same version of themselves in every group.
What about you? Do have different roles in different groups of friends or are you pretty much the same version of yourself no matter who you’re hanging out with?

Do You Know How Other People Describe You?
Rich was talking to someone the other day and when he mentioned someone at work, the other person didn’t know who he was talking about. So Rich launched into a description of the guy.
If you work in a big office there’s probably a lot of people you see all the time but don’t know their names. So when someone asks you if you know a certain person, if the name doesn’t click, they’ll usually give you a quick description and see if that rings any bells.
That got Rich curious about how people in the office describe him. And has anyone ever heard how other people describe them?
Have you ever heard how other people describe you to their friends/family/co-workers? Were you surprised or upset by the description or was it dead on?
