Why Is It Lame To Bring Your Lunch To School And Cool To Buy It?
Stan kids have been pushing lately for him to let them buy lunch at school. His wife packs them lunches every day. For one, it’s healthier than the options they have at school and two, it’s cheaper. But for some reason, it’s lame to bring lunch from home and, of course, they want to be like the cool kids who buy lunch.
This weird phenomenom has been going on for years. Stan, Rich, Nicole, and Ryan all remember it the same way when they were in school. All the cool kids bought lunch and you were lame if you brought your lunch. But why is that? Was it the same way when you were in school?

Do You Have a Co-Worker That Brings Smelly Food Into The Office?
There is a person at the office who brings the most foul smelling lunch to work every day. That person stinks up the kitchen, and the hallway they walk in, every time they heat up their lunch. The smell is so bad it’s like rotten booty.
Nobody has said anything to the person about how badly their food smells, but they must know. How could you not right? Rich wants to confront the person and let them know that their food smells & everyone hates it when the kitchen is stunk up by it. Nicole and Stan say no way. Confronting the person is just asking for awkwardness.
What do you think? Would you confront someone who brings smelly food to the office? Do you think it’s OK to? What’s the protocol?

Rich’s Gross Ketchup Packet Situation
Stan, Nicole, and Ryan are well aware that Rich is one of the grossest eaters that they’ve ever known. At this point, they’ve figured they’ve seen everything from him when it comes to eating habits but this morning, they became aware of another one.
Rich loves ketchup with his breakfast sandwich. But this morning while they were eating breakfast, Rich, instead of squeezing the ketchup on his wrap or spreading it with a knife, he ripped it open with his teeth and squeezed it into his mouth! Ryan, Nicole, and Stan were completely grossed out by this.
For one, it’s straight ketchup….ew. Secondly, does he know how many dirty and unwashed hands probably handled that packet and now he’s putting it into his mouth?! Come on man!
Rich isn’t too concerned by it. Of the entire Morning Mash Up, he’s the one who gets sick the least so clearly, it’s not as bad as everyone is saying it is. Also, when you’re driving or on the go, it’s efficient to just squeeze it directly into your mouth.
Do you think it’s gross that Rich squeezes the ketchup straight into his mouth?

What Are The Rules For Bringing Guests To A BBQ?
It’s 4th of July weekend and you know what that means…..BBQ’s. And lots of them. Unlike most parties, BBQ’s are more laid back and go with the flow. But does that make any difference when it comes to the rules of bringing guests?
Rich overheard someone in the kitchen saying they had been invited to a BBQ but they weren’t sure if they could bring their girlfriend along. Rich and Stan think that a significant other is an OK assumed guest that you can bring along without asking but anyone else, you have to check.
Ryan completely disagrees. If he wants to bring one friend along he can. That’s the point of a party, the more the merrier. He’d never bring a whole group of people with him without asking but one friend is totally fine.
Would you be upset if someone brought along extra guests to your BBQ without asking? What do you think the rules are when it comes to bringing someone?

Should Peanuts Be Banned On Planes?
The U.S. Department of Transportation is proposing a ban on peanuts after the mother of young girl with a severe peanut allergy expressed her fear to get on an airplane with her daughter. Ryan believes a total ban on peanuts is unnecessary. After all, only the most dangerous allergic reactions are caused by ingestion.
While only one percent of the general population is affected by peanut and tree nut alleges, it remains the leading cause of fatal and near food-allergic reactions, according to CNN. Do you think nuts should be banned on all flights? Is this mom being a little over protective, or just taking the right precautions for her daughter?

Restaurant Cleanliness Ratings: To Post Or Not To Post? Do You Even Want To Know?
While ordering breakfast this morning it reminded Rich and Ryan of an article they read where the grade of restaurants cleanliness will have to be displayed int he window of the establishment. Nicole says if it’s one of her favorite spots and it gets a poor grade she would probably eat there anyway.
Some of the best places are ones that look like hole-in-the-walls! The diner they go to every morning for breakfast is definitely not the cleanest, but they still stuff their faces with the food and tell everyone how good it is. Ryan says it depends on how dirty the kitchen is.
If the report on the restaurant is detailed and says there are roaches and rats and dirt everywhere then we’d probably shy away from it, but if it’s not completely spic and span it’s not a deal breaker. Is it even possible to get a great score on cleanliness? The combination of food establishments being fast paced environments, with the combo of so many different ingredients, storage areas, and the hot and cold areas things are stored make it hard for any place t be perfect.
There are so many places that you know are not completely clean but they have the best food. Would you eat at a restaurant if you knew the kitchen wasn’t totally clean?

Baking & Cooking Anxiety: How Bad Does Yours Get?
Nicole has been talking about her pecan pie that she makes every year for Thanksgiving. She’s planning on bringing it to her boyfriend’s family dinner and she’s been looking for other pecan pie recipes to spice hers up. Nicole has admitted that she’s little nervous about bringing it to his family. What if they don’t like it and her pie is left there on the table, barely touched while everyone else’s dessert is gone?
Rich thinks a lot of people are having anxiety over cooking for the holidays. Everyone wants people to like what they make and as silly as it might seem, it hurts when people reject your dish and it’s just sitting there on the table waiting to be eaten. Ryan can definitely understand the feeling. He likes to cook and, obviously, when he cooks for other people he wants them to like it.
Stan doesn’t really cook, but he sees how stressed his wife gets around the holidays when she has to cook and bake for everyone. She has the exact opposite problem though. Stan has to hide some of her cooking for himself because everyone eats up is wife’s cooking in a hot minute.
There are a lot of people that feel this way, especially if you’re cooking or baking for everyone for the first time. Are you that person? Do you get anxious when you have to bake or cook for the holidays? Have you ever had a dish that didn’t do so well?
