What Are The Most Ridiculous Things You’ve Bought While You Were Drunk?

This past weekend, Ryan, Rich, Stan & his wife, and a few other people from Sirius XM, went to Syracuse for their radio alumni weekend. Ryan got a wee bit drunk one night and decided that he was going to buy drinks for everyone at the bar. We mean EVERYONE. The next day he woke up and wasn’t sure if he had really charged a few hundred dollars or if had just dreamt it. Sorry Ryan – you actually did that.

Nicole has an even better story than that. She got so drunk one night that when she got home she proceeded to open up the Victoria’s Secret catalogue, get a customer service rep on the phone, and start asking the woman if she would good in this shirt, this pair of jeans, etc. Then she went ahead and ordered about $600 worth of stuff.

She woke up the next morning and had no clue she had ordered all those clothes. She didn’t remember until everything came to her door and she had to return everything. What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve charged or bought when you were drunk?

Is It Ok To Help An Ex In Their New Relationship?

Nicole has been getting a lot of texts and emails from her ex-boyfriend asking her for advice in his new relationship. It seems he and his new girl are having problems and thinks Nicole can can give him advice on what to do. She doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with this, but the guys think otherwise. Rich, Stan and Ryan all think it’s a bad idea to get involved with him in any way, shape, or form.

Just flip the situation for a second – how would Nicole feel if she was fighting with her boyfriend and he went to his ex for advice? Or how Matt would feel if she was going to her ex for help? Nicole would be pissed if he was talking to his ex about their relationship and she should be. You don’t talk to your ex’s about your new relationship. In fact you shouldn’t be talking to your ex at all.

Nicole thinks the guys are exaggerating. It’s not like she’s meeting up with him or even talking to him regularly. Every once in a while her ex and his girl get into a fight she tells him what she thinks of the situation and what he could about it. Do you think the guys are right and that it’s not OK to help an ex out in their new relationship? Are you with Nicole and think that having both moved on to other people, and being mature adults, there is nothing wrong with helping an ex out with some relationship advice?

Ask-A-Brutha: Not Inviting My Brother’s Mean Girlfriend

From time to time Stanley T gives some advice, since he is the veteran of the show. He’s been around the block a few times, is married, and has kids. He’s not a psychologist, he’s not Dr. Phil or Dr. Oz, he’s just a brutha. This week’s Ask-A-Brutha comes from Amanda in North Carolina:

My birthday is coming up in a month and I’m planning on having a party with a lot of my friends and family. The problem is I can’t stand my brothers girlfriend. She’s so mean to me and constantly makes snotty and rude comments. I don’t want her there but my brother says I have to invite her. I told him it’s my party and I shouldn’t have to invite someone who is going to ruin it. What do I do? Do I have to invite her or am I allowed to say she can’t come?

Stanley T’s advice to Amanda was that it is her party, and she can technically invite show she wants. Aside from her family and super close friends, there is no one that “has” to be at her party if it is going to cause her to have a bad time. However, she should tell her brother how he feels about his girlfriend and let him know in advance that she isn’t inviting her. Ryan also made a good point, if his brother’s girlfriend doesn’t like her then she probably won’t want to come anyway!

Should The Naked Snow Woman Be Covered Up?

Courtesy of Gonzalez family

Ryan is finding articles about all sorts of weird stories this week. The latest is that during the last snowstorm that hit the northeast, a family in NJ made a snowman. But they didn’t make an ordinary snowman, they made one modeled after Greek sculptures. They made a headless, armless, and basically naked torso of a woman. It wasn’t overly detailed but you could tell it was a naked woman.

Well, neighbors complained and the snow lady had to be covered up in a bikini & sarong. Ryan thinks it’s ridiculous that the snow lady had to be covered. You see images like that all the time in art books & museums and kids learn about that kind of art in school. There wasn’t anything obscene about snow lady and no need to cover her up.

Stan thinks the neighbors were right for complaining. You’ve got kids running around that neighborhood. It is not appropriate to have a snowman or a naked lady just out in the middle of your yard. Which side do you fall on? Were the people who complained about snow lady right, or just being ridiculous?

Do You Go On Toothpaste Adventures?

The difficult choices in life…

Rich Davis decided to do something that most people probably don’t do, and that’s be adventurous with the kind of toothpaste he uses. There are so many choices, most of which we really can’t tell the difference between. Rich decided to try several different kinds, and with bad results. So he wants to know, what kind of toothpaste do you use and why? Do you ever try different ones? Do you go on what Rich calls “toothpaste adventures?” Is it something that just isn’t done?

Sack’em or Save’em: Should This Air Traffic Controller Be Fired?

Ryan found a story about an air traffic controller and his supervisor who are on suspended leave from their jobs because the air traffic controller let his kids talk to pilots on the air traffic control frequency. The FAA is considering whether the two should be fired or not, saying that they should have known better than to allow something like this to happen.

Other people are saying the situation is being blown out of proportion. All the kids did was tell two planes they were cleared for take off. The air traffic controller watched over everything and talked to the pilots for everything else. The pilots had no problem with, one pilot even complimented the kid for doing a good job. Also, air traffic control is a very supervised area, so it’s not like it was just the dad and his kids sitting there alone.

Did dad take things too far by taking his kids to work, and having them talk to pilots? Should he be sacked or saved?

Stanley T’s Baby Powder Problem & People’s Product Obsessions

This morning Rich decided it was time to intervene with Stan about his powder habit, baby powder to be exact. Every day after his shower, Stan baby powders his entire body, from head to toe. In fact, he uses so much of it that his entire room is covered in a layer of it. Check out the video evidence below before reading on.

Stan says it helps keep him feeling and smelling fresh. Rich understands that, but the issue is how much he uses. Rich just doesn’t see why he needs to use that much. Do you know someone like Stan who just overuses a product?
