Fresh Haircuts: Women VS Men

Why Does A Woman's Fresh Haircut Looks So Much Better Than A Man's?

Nicole got dolled up for her mother’s wedding last night, and Rich noticed that her hair looked really awesome. He then proceeded to go on about when a guy gets a haircut he looks like a poofy dog leaving the salon or barber shop.

When a girl leaves a salon she looks like a million bucks on her way to the fashion runway. The guy is forced to wash out his hair when he gets home and restyle it himself. Women keep that haircut for a week, don’t wash their hair, and look amazing.

Although, a guy’s hair looks better after a week. After a week a guys hair has time to grow a little (since they always cut it too short), settle in and get a few washes. For girls, after that first week of awesome hair it is pretty much all downhill after that first wash. Their hair officially goes back to normal.

What’s the deal? It’s amazing how the same situation could bring exact opposite results. Do the guys get the short end of the stick or do the girls? Are we off base? Is it fair? Are we going to the wrong hair salon or barber shop? Learn us friends!

Maybe all of you that are saying your stylist doesn’t listen, news flash you need a new one. I have been a stylist for 11 years and I listen to my clients. Thats the only way to keep them coming back! I can always suggest ideas but the bottom line is that I always still need to listen to them

Barber shops are pretty archaec, my brother used to go to one. I think if you started going to a regular stylist, the same as women go to, you may end up with the same problems However, men’s hair and women’s hair are totally different and women’s hair is easier to style. If you guys started doing the same stuff to your hair as we do, i.e. straightening and curling irons, your hair may start to act the same way. It’s all in the chemistry.

See, I don’t agree. Every time I leave the salon I have to go home and wash my hair and style it the way I want it styled. It seems like they make us ladies look like “puffy poodles” and do things they way they “think” we should want it to look rather than how we really want it. Guys on the other hand…clip, zip, zoom…and some paste or wax product and usually they look like a million bucks no matter what. If it’s that bad…it grows really fast. If we get a bad cut….we are stuck with it for a while.

I disagree. I have natural curly hair, and the first time a stylist cuts my hair they always try and dry my hair when done. I don’t dry my hair!!! I think anyone with natural curly hair knows that your hair controls every aspect of what it’s going to look like, and you just don’t mess with it. Put some Gel in to control the frizz a little, give it a little scrunchy action and just LET IT BE! My stylist now knows that’s all to do, but the first time a new stylist cutes it they always try to dry it… now that’s poodle puff hair!

For me, when i get a haircut the lady always does it wrong and does it how she wants. Like you, I feel bad asking her to fix it so i just leave the way it is. When i get home, my girlfriend just ends up fixing (cutting) it anyway! So that’s a waste of money!
