Usually Rich is the ADD one but Ryan had an ADD moment of his own last night when he thought about how it must have felt to be at the game when Derek Jeter broke Gehrig’s record for all-time hits with the Yankees, which led him to thinking about how cool it would’ve been to witness other historical events. He was actuallya t the game where Cal Ripken broke Lou Gehrig’s record. Leave it to Ryan to come up with something like this.

Cash for Clunkers ended Monday and The Morning Mash Up was talking about it wondering what the effects of it were. It sure seems like a lot of people bought new cars since the government had to add more money to the program. Then they realized that a lot of car companies offer Sirius XM built in and they started to wonder how many people had joined the Sirius XM family, and The Morning Mash Up family, because the new car they got through Cash for Clunkers. They were also curious as to whether people were really happy with the program and, since every car bought through the program was eco-friendly, what was it that which made them go for one car over another. Tell us about your Cash for Clunkers experience. Did you become a part of our family because through the program you purchased a car with Sirius XM? How was your experience buy a car through Cash for Clunkers? What made you buy the car you did?

The Morning Mash Up was watching the video of the World of Warcraft kid getting his first car for his 16th birthday. His parents got him a clunker, and he wasn’t too happy about it. Obviously, the video is a joke, but Ryan said that every kid should get a clunker as their first car. It’s like a tradition, and it helps you appreciate when you can buy a nice car.

Rich doesn’t think a junk car is necessary. If he’s ballin’ by the time he has a kid that’s driving age, why not buy him a pre-owned luxury car or a brand new middle of the line car like a Honda? Nicole and Stanley T both side with Ryan on this one. The first car needs to be a kind of crappy one. Everyone absolutely agrees that any car your kid gets needs to be safe. However, Stanley T, Ryan, and Nicole think it’s a waste to buy them a nice car.

As “stat boy” Ryan Sampson points out, statistically, they’re most likely going to get into an accident within the first two years of driving. Stanley T thinks Rich needs to wait until he actually has kids and then see what he thinks. What do you think? Should your kids’ first car always be a junker? Now watch the video. While it seems pretty clear President Obama was not checking out the goods, how about the French President? LOL!

This guy does the best Barack Obama impersonation we’ve seen, although his previous videos we’re just ok. This is the first one we’ve been able to watch the entire way, amusing, well done, and damn catchy.
