Does Lindsay Lohan “Own” The Name Lindsay?
Nicole reported in her 411 yesterday that Lindsey Lohan is suing E*Trade for their latest baby commercial (see video 3 posts below) because she claims that they purposely used her name in connection with their “milkaholic” baby named Lindsey. While Rich, Nicole, Ryan & Stan don’t think the commercial is referencing LiLo it did raise an interesting question. Can anyone “own” a name?
Rich thinks there are definitely some people who “own” their first name. For example, if someone said to you, “Kobe” you’d most likely think of Kobe Bryant. Lindsey Lohan however, does not own her name. If you were to say to someone “Lindsey,” a hundred different Lindsey’s would pop into your head.
People like Oprah, Madonna, and Prince definitely “own” their name. All of them are pretty unique, but what about everyday names like Jack and Tom? Who “owns” those names? Who are some people that you think “own” their name? Do you people can even “own” a name?

Should The Naked Snow Woman Be Covered Up?
Courtesy of Gonzalez family
Ryan is finding articles about all sorts of weird stories this week. The latest is that during the last snowstorm that hit the northeast, a family in NJ made a snowman. But they didn’t make an ordinary snowman, they made one modeled after Greek sculptures. They made a headless, armless, and basically naked torso of a woman. It wasn’t overly detailed but you could tell it was a naked woman.
Well, neighbors complained and the snow lady had to be covered up in a bikini & sarong. Ryan thinks it’s ridiculous that the snow lady had to be covered. You see images like that all the time in art books & museums and kids learn about that kind of art in school. There wasn’t anything obscene about snow lady and no need to cover her up.
Stan thinks the neighbors were right for complaining. You’ve got kids running around that neighborhood. It is not appropriate to have a snowman or a naked lady just out in the middle of your yard. Which side do you fall on? Were the people who complained about snow lady right, or just being ridiculous?

Killer Whale Kills Trainer. What Should Be Done?
According to reports “a female trainer was killed at SeaWorld’s Shamu Stadium in Orlando, Fla., by a 12,000-pound killer whale that had twice before been involved in the deaths of humans, according to police and local media.” The trainer wasn’t a noob, because it was reported that she had 16 years of experience training killer whales. All she was doing was rubbing down the whale after a show and she got pulled into the water, was thrashed around, and subsequently drowned.
Stan is really upset by this. He is so upset that he believes this whale should be put down. Not just because of this one incident, but because it’s the 3rd death this whale has been involved in. This woman had family, and friends, like anyone else. He thinks it’s a shame that considering this whale’s past that this happened again.
Stan went as far as saying that he would put on a ninja outfit to take this killer whale out. It needs to be taught a lesson…ninja style? Either way, what do you think should be done in instances last what happened yesterday? Especially with the track record of such an animal? Should this killer whale be put down, or put back into the wild?

Credit Card Reform Act Is In Effect Today!
Starting today, brand new credit card laws are going into effect that theoretically should help you. The law is really long, and the details can be confusing and cumbersome.
CLICK HERE to read what has happened since the law was signed last May.
Now, here is the best break down we have found, courtesy of The Associated Press and the New York Times.
NEW YORK (AP) — The new credit card law is finally here. Starting Monday, banks will need to abide by new regulations on terms and disclosures. The idea behind the landmark law was to prevent banks from using practices that often dug borrowers deeper into debt.
A look at how the credit card law affects key aspects of your account.
INTEREST RATES
THEN: Banks could raise the interest rate on an account at any time, including the rate on an existing balances, even if you weren’t late on payments.
NOW: The rate cannot be raised in the first year after an account is opened unless an introductory rate has come to an end. After that, cardholders must be notified 45 days in advance of any rate change.
For existing balances, rates can’t be raised unless the account is at least 60 days past due. If payments are made on time for six consecutive months, the original rate must be restored.
There’s still no cap on rates.
Keep reading for more details on how you will be effected by the Credit Card Reform Act, starting today!

Banker Looks At Swimsuit Pictures At Work And Gets Caught. Should He Have Gotten In Trouble?
Look At The Guy Over The Interviewee’s Right Shoulder…
Some of you may have heard the story and watched the video but in case you haven’t, here’s a quick summary. An Australian news channel was doing a live interview with someone from a finance company, and during the interview, in the background, you see people working at their computers. One of the bankers is sitting with his back to the camera and the computer screen facing the camera.
During the interview this banker opens a couple of different emails with pictures of model Miranda Kerr in skimpy clothes attached and it’s all caught on camera. She wasn’t nude, but just dressed very sexy, and in swimsuits. Thanks to the internet, and TV, there are videos with extreme zooming to show this, and with lots of exaggeration.
There was worry that he was going to lose his job after he got suspended. He’s gotten support from all over the internet, and Miranda Kerr herself said she would sign a petition for the banker to keep his job. Thankfully, he will be keeping his job after his company announced their decision today.
We all look at stuff at work, whether it’s sports, girls, gossip sites, MoreMashUp.com, Facebook, or Twitter. Should this banker have gotten in trouble over this? Did he really do anything wrong in the first place? What do you look at while at work that maybe you shouldn’t be (let’s keep it clean people, get your mind out of the gutter)?

What Is Causing The Rise In Girl Fight Videos?
Ryan was super focused on some article during the show and Nicole finally got it out of him what it was. It seems that “girl fights” are on the rise in schools thanks to You Tube, and possibly reality shows. The proof? Search “girl fight” on You Tube and you’ll get almost 300,000 videos of them. There are reports that something like 80% of fights in schools are now girl against girl.
Some points being made are that people want to get on You Tube and want to become famous or get noticed in some way. Guy used to be the ones taking things to a physical level, where as girls would take their battle to a more physiological level. Girls will spread rumors, and effect other girls lives on a social level. Guys will just beat the crap out of each other. Now, girls are starting to become worse than guys!
Have you noticed an increase in girls fighting in your area? In your school? Do you watch girl fight videos on You Tube? What do you think is causing them? Share you thoughts with us below!

School Bus Driver Sentenced For Drunk Driving With Kids On Board!
ALFRED, N.Y. (Associated Press) – A former western New York school bus driver has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for being drunk behind the wheel during a chaotic ride captured on the vehicle’s surveillance video.
Martha Thompson of Almond was also sentenced Monday in Allegany County Court to six months of electronic home monitoring and fined $1,000. She pleaded guilty Nov. 2 to driving while intoxicated and 37 counts of reckless endangerment, one for each of the Alfred-Almond school district students she transported on May 8.
The video from the bus shows several teenage girls pleading with Thompson to pull over after she missed a turn and drove the bus in reverse. The girls then led some of the younger students out the back of the bus as the 56-year-old Thompson yells at them to remain on board.
