We hate to be Debbie Downers but with the holidays and the season of giving, comes people waiting to take advantage of you. There are a bunch of holiday scams out there including a phishing scheme that you could get caught in searching for the lyrics to Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer, viruses embedded in fake hoilday e-cards, and fake delivery invoices.

The Morning Mash Up was talking about their Thanksgiving plans and Stanley T is happier about seeing his family more this year than he has been for a while. There was a woman that his father in law was married to that Stan just couldn’t stand. He practically hated this woman. When she walked into a room, he leave the room. Once she sat at the table to eat, he’d take his plate into another room and eat away from her. But now that she and his father in law are divorced, Stanley can finally fully enjoy his Thanksgiving.

Ryan feels that way about some people in his family. He doesn’t let them know he doesn’t like them but he’s definitely not a fan. Everyone’s got that one family member that they just can’t get along with, that they just can’t stand. Whether it’s because they talk your ear off about mundane nonsense for hours straight or because you can’t stand the person they are. Who are you not looking forward to seeing around the holidays and why?

Nicole has been talking about her pecan pie that she makes every year for Thanksgiving. She’s planning on bringing it to her boyfriend’s family dinner and she’s been looking for other pecan pie recipes to spice hers up. Nicole has admitted that she’s little nervous about bringing it to his family. What if they don’t like it and her pie is left there on the table, barely touched while everyone else’s dessert is gone?

Rich thinks a lot of people are having anxiety over cooking for the holidays. Everyone wants people to like what they make and as silly as it might seem, it hurts when people reject your dish and it’s just sitting there on the table waiting to be eaten. Ryan can definitely understand the feeling. He likes to cook and, obviously, when he cooks for other people he wants them to like it.

Stan doesn’t really cook, but he sees how stressed his wife gets around the holidays when she has to cook and bake for everyone. She has the exact opposite problem though. Stan has to hide some of her cooking for himself because everyone eats up is wife’s cooking in a hot minute.

There are a lot of people that feel this way, especially if you’re cooking or baking for everyone for the first time. Are you that person? Do you get anxious when you have to bake or cook for the holidays? Have you ever had a dish that didn’t do so well?

When Lady GaGa visited The Morning Mash Up we all had preconceived notions. We’re sure you would too. Aside from her choice in fashion, Lady GaGa is a great performer. She is a totally awesome woman. She is really smart and knows exactly what she is doing. She sat with us for what seemed like an hour and opened up to Nicole, Rich, Stan and Ryan. Rich, Nicole and Ryan learned something new about Stanley T today. Stan is a Halloween scrooge! He won’t let his kids trick or treat, or let them carve out pumpkins because it’s too messy. His keeps using the phrase “wait until you have kids” as part of his excuse. Stan also wears the same costume every year because he claims “it’s enough. We call it LAME.

Rich also called out his dad for being a Halloween scrooge. His dad is purposely planning to not be home on Halloween so he doesn’t have to deal with trick-or-treaters. Even worse, his dad might just stay home and pretend to not be there to avoid “answering the door ever 5 minutes.” Rich doesn’t understand how his dad doesn’t like Halloween.

What is there not to like about pumpkin carving, apple picking, candy, costumes, and parties? Nicole agrees – she’s always loved Halloween. Ryan’s a big fan of Halloween too, but not everyone loves the holiday. Rich thinks that if someone doesn’t like Halloween then they’re a scrooge and their lame. True or false? Do you think there are any good reasons to not like Halloween?

Kim Kardashian & Reggie Bush’s Matching Halloween Costumes

Halloween is this Saturday and Rich still isn’t sure what he wants to wear. He had wanted to do a couples costume with his girlfriend but she already had a costume. This kind of bummed him out. As a couple, Rich thinks they should be going dressed up in sync, not in their own random costumes. Nicole and Ryan don’t really care either way, it’s not a big deal.

While it’s cute to go dressed up together, but you definitely don’t have to. It’s fine for each of you to do your own thing. Stan is leaning towards Rich on this one – it makes more sense for couples to dress up together. Rich thinks it’s stupid for couples to dress up in uncoordinated costumes. Who made up this rule anyway? Should couples always coordinate their Halloween costumes or is it OK to do your own thing? Do you have an example when mismatching was a bad idea, or good idea?
