Can You Have A Bro-Break Up?

Is It Possible To Have A Bro-Break Up?

Rich needs your, and the rest of The Morning Mash Up’s, advice on something. How do you break up with a guy friend? He has been “friends” with this guy for a number of years, but lately Rich says he’s realized that they don’t really have anything in common anymore. Whenever Rich sees this guy all he hears is complaining about how he isn’t around anymore, or that he never invites him anywhere anymore. This bro is essentially saying that Rich is a bad bro because he spends most of his time concentrating on work, his closest friends, and his girlfriend.

How do you go about breaking off a friendship with someone you’ve been friends with for years, especially when you both still have some of the same mutual friends? It might be more awkward than breaking off a relationship. Have you ever have a bro-break up? What about a regular friendship? How did you do it without it being weird and awkward, or just over dramatic?

Why the dilemna Rich? If you don’t answer his calls or go out of your way to see him, he will get the message. That’s what you guys do to us chicks and we can figure it out. Or is this a guy thing??

My husband had to have a bro-break up with an old friend. It was hard. Guys are so use to being able to like beat each other up and then get along famously the next time they see each other. It just got to a point where we’re all married living in the burbs, and he’s still making the same ass of himself as he was ten years ago. The rest of are moving through life and finally hubby had to set him free. Good ridance.
