Ask-A-Brutha: How Do You Let A Guy Down, For Another Guy?

This week’s Ask-A-Brutha is from Andrea in Kansas:

There are two guys I have been dating and I’ve started to like one more than the other. I’d like to take things into a relationship with the one guy but the other guy that I don’t have feelings for has told me he loves me. How do I break things off nicely?

Stanley T advice is that honesty is the best policy. He thinks Andrea should tell the guy that loves her that she “loves him too, but not in the way he wants her to.” It’s better to be 100% honest, and not string him along, so that she doesn’t hurt his feelings any more than she already will. What do you guys think Andrea should do?

I agree with Stan. Straight up honesty is always best, yeah, the suck factor is high but no one wants to be given false hope, only to find out it was for nothing.
