What Words or Phrases Do You Use All The Time?
Nicole has been getting a little annoyed at Rich lately. He is on a “dope” kick. He is using that word every single chance he gets and Nicole has had enough. She wants him to retire it. Let it go, put it in the past, and never speak it again. It’s getting kind of annoying having to hear it all the time.
It’s like when she would “love you mean it” thirty million times a day. After a while, the guys wanted to smack every time she said it. Even Alex D, The Morning Mash Up’s associate producer overuses words. She says the word fantabulous to describe anything that’s good.
Ryan thinks it kind of makes the person that they have their own little catchphrase or word that they use. Although he admits he uses “awesome” way too much. Stan’s most overused phrase is “picture that” which he says to let you know he’s NOT going to do something. Do you know someone that overuses a word or phrase so much you just wish they would retire it?

Do You Have Different Roles In Different Groups Of Friends Or Are You Pretty Much The Same Person No Matter Who You’re With?
Rich and Ryan got into a little bit of a deep discussion yesterday about the different roles people take on depending on what group of friends they’re with.
For example, with The Morning Mash Up, Ryan is kind of the quiet one. But Rich has seen him with his friends from back home and Ryan is the crazy, loud, life of the party one. Compared to some of his college friends, he’s also the dummy of the group (which we know is the opposite of how it is on The Mash Up
).
Nicole says she’s the same person no matter which group of friends she’s with. Rich & Stan are the same way. They’re pretty much the same version of themselves in every group.
What about you? Do have different roles in different groups of friends or are you pretty much the same version of yourself no matter who you’re hanging out with?

Do You Know How Other People Describe You?
Rich was talking to someone the other day and when he mentioned someone at work, the other person didn’t know who he was talking about. So Rich launched into a description of the guy.
If you work in a big office there’s probably a lot of people you see all the time but don’t know their names. So when someone asks you if you know a certain person, if the name doesn’t click, they’ll usually give you a quick description and see if that rings any bells.
That got Rich curious about how people in the office describe him. And has anyone ever heard how other people describe them?
Have you ever heard how other people describe you to their friends/family/co-workers? Were you surprised or upset by the description or was it dead on?

Does A Celebrity’s Track Record Affect Whether You Like Their Work?
Nicole has been reporting in her 411 the last couple days about Paris Hiltons arrest. This isn’t the first time Paris has been in trouble with the law. But people still follow her on Twitter and care about her. That got Rich thinking about whether people really care about about a celebrities track record anymore and if it affects whether someone likes a celebrity or not.
Take Charlie Sheen for example. Sheen has been in so much trouble with the law and done some really bad things but, Rich still enjoys watching him on Two and A Half Men and plans to continue watching the show.
Ryan thinks they’re all looking at it the wrong way. To him, it seems you can’t be famous without getting in trouble. Look at Kim Kardashian. She wouldn’t be were she was today if hadn’t been for that video being released. People tend to be more intrigued by a celebrity if they get in trouble.
Rich agrees. He thinks that unless you do something really seriously wrong – like Chris Brown and hit a woman – a celebrities star is only going to increase if they get in trouble. Just look at Michael Jackson. Even though he was accused of molesting kids, there are people who completely ignore that side of him and continue to love him and his music.
Does a celebrities track record affect if you like their work or not? Will you still watch them/listen to their music if they get in trouble with the law?

Why Are Men So Hesitant To Hold A Womans Purse?
Ryan was walking around the neighborhood by his apartment and he saw a guy and girl walking together. The guy was holding, not only his girl’s overnight bag, but her purse as well. Ryan immediately thought, “wow, this guy is whipped.” For one he’s holding his woman’s purse and two, it’s not like she had any other bags that she couldn’t hold her purse while he carried her overnight bag.
Nicole asks Ryan why he automatically thought the guy was whipped just because he was holding his girlfriend’s purse? It’s not that big of a deal. It’s not like people actually think it’s your purse. Everyone knows your holding it for someone. Rich agrees with Nicole. Guys shouldn’t bug out about holding it because it’s not like anyone actually thinks it’s theirs. But for some reason, guys get completely weirded out.
Ryan and Stan say it’s because holding a purse is emasculating. It kills a part of your manhood every time you do it.
Guys, why won’t you hold a woman’s purse? Ladies, does you man refuse to hold yours or is he one of the few that does?

A Case Of Drug Mistaken Identity
Rich was telling Ryan, Stan, and Nicole a story about a time when his mom freaked out and thought he was doing drugs. When he was younger, he would carry a few altoids with him when he went to bars and clubs. But instead of carrying them in that awkward metal tin, he would put a few in a small baggie and carry them in his pocket.
One day his mom found a a bag of them in his glove compartment and flipped. She brought them to the drugstore and told the pharmecy techs that she thought her son was doing drugs and she wanted them to test and see what drugs these were. Let’s just say she was relieved and probably slightly embarassed when they came back and told her they were Altoids.
A similar thing happened to Nicole’s boyfriend Matt. He worked in an Italian restaurant years ago and they used to use this mixture of oregano, rosemary, and other spices for this one particular pasta dish. Somehow, a bag of this spice mixture made it’s way out onto the floor of the dining room and one of the customers saw it. They brought it to the manager and said that one of the employees may be doing drugs. Nicole’s boyfriend ended up getting accused and he had to point out to them it was the pasta spices.
Has this kind of mix up ever happened to you?

Would You Rather Have A Male Or Female Doctor?
Stanley wasn’t in because he is finally going to the dentist to get his teeth checked out. But him going got Rich, Nicole, and Ryan into a conversation about going to the doctor in general. Nicole asked the guys if they preffered a male or female doctor.
Rich said he prefers a male because if it’s a female doctor, especially if she is young and attractive, he doesn’t want to have to worry about shrinkage. There was one time he went to a female doctor and ended sneaking “fluff” moments – where he tried to fluff up his package in order to impress her.
Ryan says he doesn’t really care about whether it’s a female or male, so long as their old. He’d much rather have an old doctor than a young one.
Nicole doesn’t care either way. Female, male, old, young…no matter what it’s not going to be fun and it will be uncomfortable.
What about you? Do you have a preference that your doctor be a certain age or gender?
